Membership Class

Learn what West Park is all about

Membership classes occur several times throughout the year. These classes are a great way to learn more about West Park’s beliefs, mission, values, purpose and actions, if you are new or have been attending West Park for awhile. Attending the two part class is a prerequisite for church membership, but you are welcome to attend the class and explore the possibility, no commitment necessary.

No new membership class at this time

Baptism

Learn what West Park is all about

Jesus said that the local church exists to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20), and one of the important initial steps in the disciple-making process is believer’s baptism by immersion Although baptism is not required for salvation, it is commanded of all believers and is for believers only. Scripture shows that a person was baptized after personally expressing repentance over sin and faith in Christ (Acts 8:12; 16:30-33). The waters of baptism are a picture of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, and a symbol of our own death to sin and resurrection to newness of life when we become a follower of Christ (Romans 6:3-4).

Opportunities to Serve

Ways to Help and Show Love

One of the key components of who we are as a congregation involves the whole area of serving. Here are three reasons to consider serving here:

  • It’s a way to show love. Joining a ministry team is a practical way to move from words to deeds. Let’s stop just talking about doing something and take action. (1 John 3:18)

  • It’s a way to help others. Community is all about helping one another. Now is your opportunity to strengthen our community. (Philippians 2:1-4)

  • It’s a way to obey God. Not only will you build relationships and enjoy the satisfaction of a job worth doing, but more importantly, you are obeying God’s law. (Galatians 6:2)

If you are looking for a way to serve at WestPark, consider ushering on a rotating basis for

for the 9:00 or 11:00 am English service. This is a great way to meet people!
