Missional Groups

Our Winter Missional Group Launch is Sunday, January 19 at 4:00 pm. Missional Groups is a new ministry that began in October. They are small gatherings of groups of people who will initially meet weekly at the church for a period of time and then in homes. A missional group is where we can feel connected and begin to form relationships with others and become closer to God.
From Sunday, January 19 to Sunday, March 2 we will be meeting at WestPark and each meeting with begin with a potluck meal. During this time we model the 4 “W”s of Missional Groups: Welcome, Worship, Word and Witness. We are asking everyone to commit to this 6 week period (we are off Sunday, February 16 for Family Day). At the end of the 6 week period, those that wish to continue can do so in homes. Our meetings are usually 90 minutes long.

Everything You Need to Know
In Acts 2:42-47, we see the early church connect so well with God and others. They met frequently in small group settings and created a spiritual family. This is what we would love to see happen at WestPark – as we grow bigger, we want people from all ages (from seniors to kids) and backgrounds to connect!
Welcome

A missional group is where you can draw closer to God through a song, a reading or a time of prayer with others.
Word
• It’s a place for you apply the message to your life…
A missional group is where you can discuss the Sunday morning message and encourage each other in the scriptures.
Witness
• It’s a place for you to engage with others…
A missional group is where you can pray, engage in service and outreach events, and inviting others into community.
